Discovering the Heart
In this passage, God chooses David, the youngest and least likely of Jesse’s sons, to be king. The Hebrew word lev (pronounced: layv) means 'heart.' God tells Samuel, 'Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.' This teaches you that true worth is found within, not in status or appearance.
