Meshiach – The Anointed
The central Hebrew word here is מָשַׁח (Mashach), 'to anoint.' This word gives us Messiah—the one anointed for divine purpose. Saul’s anointing by Samuel is a threshold: the ordinary becomes sacred, and a new chapter begins.
