Meshiach – The Anointed

The central Hebrew word here is מָשַׁח (Mashach), 'to anoint.' This word gives us Messiah—the one anointed for divine purpose. Saul’s anointing by Samuel is a threshold: the ordinary becomes sacred, and a new chapter begins.

You may reflect: What transforms a life from routine to purpose? Like oil consecrating Saul, our actions and choices can be elevated with meaning that reaches beyond ourselves.

Personal Insight: Even the unexpected can be chosen. Your everyday moments hold sparks of divine possibility.

Reflection: Consider a role or responsibility in your daily life. How could you see it as anointed—with added purpose or care—this week?
