Let There Be Light – יְהִי אוֹר (Yehi Or)
The Hebrew word אוֹר (Or), pronounced or, means 'light.' In these opening verses, God’s first act is to bring light into darkness. This light is more than physical; it represents hope, clarity, and the beginning of all spiritual journeys.
As you read, imagine the light entering your own life—illuminating confusion, bringing warmth to cold places within. You are invited to see yourself as part of this creation story, with new light possible each day.
Reflection: Where do you need light in your life right now? Today, pause for a moment and simply say, 'Let there be light' as a gentle prayer for clarity and hope.
