Hebrew Word: Emunah (אֱמוּנָה, 'faith' or 'trust')
God invites Abraham to gaze at the stars, promising descendants as countless as the night sky. Abraham’s response is emunah (pronounced 'eh-moo-nah'), a deep, trusting faith. This faith is not just belief—it’s a relationship of trust, even when promises seem impossible.
When you face uncertainty, remember Abraham’s example. Faith can be as simple as looking up, opening your heart, and trusting that God’s promises are unfolding, even if you can’t see the whole picture yet.
Reflection: Tonight, look at the sky or imagine the stars. What promise or hope do you want to trust God with?
