Shelter in the Storm

Day 2: Shelter in the Storm

Some nights are restful; others, troubled. Today, the Psalmist voices a universal longing—to feel safe. Hebrew keyword: "Shalom" (שָׁלוֹם, Shalom) means peace, but also wholeness and well-being. To rest ‘in peace’ is to welcome security not only in the world, but in your heart. The verse affirms that safety is found not only through strength, but through trust.

Personal insight: Life’s turbulence can make you restless, but pausing to invoke peace invites resilience.

Practical connection: Before sleep tonight, try reciting this verse quietly. Let your last thoughts be shaped by a sense of being sheltered.
