Proverbs 26:3 Commentary: Rashi

שׁ֣וֹט לַ֭סּוּס מֶ֣תֶג לַחֲמ֑וֹר וְ֝שֵׁ֗בֶט לְגֵ֣ו כְּסִילִֽים׃

A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, And a rod for the back of fools.

A whip is for the horse [It] is made for the horse, and also a rod is prepared for the body of fools. Tortures are prepared for the wicked.
